Rosemary Scrope

Rosemary Tyser (nee Scrope), who died 26 August, 2013, aged 66, was a scion of the Scrope dynasty, of Danby, co York, which can claim 5 Garter Knights, 2 bishops, one archbishop of York, a Lord Chancellor, 4 High Treasurers, and 2 Chief Justices, and the baronies of Scrope of Bolton and Scrope of Masham, &c. She was born 10 July, 1947, second of three daughters of Lt-Col Conyers Stephen Scrope, MC, by his wife the former Lady Mary Egerton, 3rd daughter of the 4th Earl of Ellesmere, MVO, and sister of the 6th Duke of Sutherland. She married 1976, Robert Patrick Tyser (born 1926 ~ died 17 Dec, 2006, aged 80), son of Walter Parkyns Tyser, of Gordonbush, Brora, co Sutherland, by his wife the former Jessie Quill. The funeral was at St Mary's Church, Kelso, Tues 3 September, 2013.

Rosemary married Robert Patrick Tyser on 7 Jul 1976 in Chelsea, London. Robert (son of Walter Parkyns Tyser and Jessie Woodriff Berklely Quill) was born on 8 Jan 1926 in Chelsea, London; died on 17 Dec 2006 in Kelso, Scotland. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Conyers married Lady Mary Egerton on 12 Jan 1945 in Westminster, London. Mary (daughter of John Francis Granville Scrope Egerton, 4th Earl of Ellesmere and Lady Violet Lambton) was born on 4 Sep 1911 in Barton Upon Irwell, Lancashire; died on 14 May 1983 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Lieutenant-Colonel John Francis Granville Scrope Egerton, 4th Earl of Ellesmere, MVO, KJStJ (14 November 1872 – 24 August 1944) was a British peer and soldier from the Egerton family, known as Viscount Brackley before 1914.

Frederick William Lambton, 4th Earl of Durham (19 June 1855 – 31 January 1929) was a British peer, a Liberal (and later Liberal Unionist) politician, and the son of George Lambton, 2nd Earl of Durham. He inherited the Earldom from his twin brother, John Lambton, 3rd Earl of Durham, when the latter died with no legitimate children.
