Rosa Bateman, who came during the war as a 16 year old to work at the manor at Clifton Hampden for Cousin LC Aldenham, has recently died. Her son Dave has shown me this photograph which he found among her things in a rather elegant sort of snake skin frame. He wonders whether it is Cousin LC – he can’t think who else it might be.
