| 1098 | Domenico Adamoli was born in Varese in 1813 by Giuseppe and Massimilla Pellegrini Robbioni. Together with his son Giulio he participated in the second war of independence. In 1866 he was part of the Garibaldi General Staff, and in the following year in the tragic Romana campaign. He was mayor for several years of Besozzo, the original village of his wealthy family.
