- JCMW was educated at Diocesan College, Cape Town, and the University of Cape Town. He completed a MB and BCh at UCT, and then specialised in radiology (most likely graduating MMed). He practiced as Medical Doctor and Radiologist in Cape Town and then moved to Johannesburg in the mid-1960s with offices at Kenridge Hospital and elsewhere. He moved to Tasmania in late 1980s.
