- Bathsheba Borne was the great-grand daughter of Mayflower passengers John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley. Elizabeth Tilley's parents, John Tilley and Joan Hurst Tilley, were also Mayflower passengers, but did not survive the first winter in the New World. Bathsheba was the daughter of Judge Melatiah Bourne and Desire Chipman.
