- David, after some years in Australia in Aircraft Engineering, went to work in USA in various roles for Rockwell. His wife Ruth née Crane predeceased him and both his children died a few years later. David served in the Second World War in the R.A.N.V.R as the Radar Officer and was sunk in HMAS Canberra just before the Battle of the Coral Sea, safely rescued luckily by the Americans.
