    Notes:

    7th son. Born at 11 Bedford Square aforesaid 6 December 1830 and baptised 3 March 1831 at St. Giles-in-the-Fields. Educated at Eton College 1843-5, Charterhouse, London, 1845-7. Matric at Oxford (Exeter College) 31 January 1849. Died unmarried at Belmont, Wraxall 27 August 1860 and buried 1 September 1860 at Clifton Hampden. Memorial Inscription there. Will proved January 1857.

    His schools before Eton & tutor after were the same as his brother John. During 1857-60 he owned the yacht Gondola in which he cruised (for his health) chiefly in the Mediterranean.
