    2nd Lieut. Scots Guards, 2nd battn., 27 September 1913. His death occurred at Gheluvelt near Ypres and he was buried there, but his grave was destroyed by subsequent shellfire. His medals, the 1914 Star with clasp, British War Medal, and the Allies (Victory) Medal issued to his mother.
